These terms cover your use of this website. They are not the agreement for work on your property. That agreement is the written scope we give you after somebody has walked the site, and where the two differ, the written scope wins.

By using this website you accept what follows. If you do not accept it, please do not use the site.

Who we are

Tri-State Geese Patrol provides humane Canada goose control and abatement across Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York, working outward from a base in West Hartford, Connecticut. You can reach us on (203) 856-4889 or through the contact form.

Using this website

You may read, print and share these pages for your own use, including sending them to a colleague or a board. You may not:

• Copy the writing on this site and publish it as your own, in whole or in part.
• Use the site or its content to build a competing service listing or to train a product without our permission.
• Attempt to interfere with the site, its host, or anyone else's use of it.
• Use any automated system in a way that places an unreasonable load on the site.

The writing and images belong to us

The text, page structure, photographs and design of this site are our property or are used with permission, and they are protected by copyright. Quoting a short passage with a link back is welcome. Republishing a page is not.

The wildlife agency documents, university research and statutes we link to belong to their own publishers, and their terms apply on their own sites.

What the information here is, and what it is not

The pages on this site describe how Canada goose behavior works, what the law allows, and how a program is put together. They are written carefully and every claim that is not our own observation is linked to its source.

They are still general information. They are not legal advice, they are not veterinary or wildlife management advice for your specific property, and they are not a substitute for asking the relevant agency about your own situation.

Two things in particular change: the rules, and the birds. Federal and state wildlife regulations are amended, permit conditions differ by property and by season, and what a given flock does depends on the ground it is standing on. Check the current rule with the agency, or ask us and we will tell you what we know and where the limit of that is.

Enquiries, assessments and quotes

Nothing on this site is an offer that becomes a contract when you accept it. Prices are not published here because they are set per site, after an assessment, for reasons the contact page explains.

An enquiry through the form or by phone starts a conversation. A site assessment tells us what the property needs. A written scope and a price follow that assessment, and only that written scope, once agreed, creates an obligation on either side.

No guaranteed outcome

Canada goose abatement is a management program, not a one-time event. Trained dogs working a site repeatedly change what the birds believe about the property, and that takes time and consistency. Results depend on the site, the season, the size and history of the flock, what neighboring properties are doing, and how much of the plan the property actually carries out.

For that reason we do not promise a particular number of birds, a particular date, or a permanent result, and you should treat any provider who does with care. What we will tell you, before you commit, is what we expect to be able to change on your property and what we do not expect to change.

Third-party sites

This site links to wildlife agencies, university research, and our own social media pages. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of everything the linked organization publishes.

Availability

We try to keep the site available and correct, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of anything harmful. The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties about it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Connecticut law, Tri-State Geese Patrol is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or from reliance on information published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects your rights under the written scope for work performed on your property.

Privacy

How we handle information you send us is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, and the state and federal courts serving Connecticut have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and the version published here is the one that applies.
